Life

Life thrives in abundance, in the ponds, ditches, reed beds and field margins you will find a multitude of diverse wildlife.

During the day, water voles graze the banks close to their burrows and in the evening, otters play and fish. Kingfishers, nesting in holes on the sandy banks, sand martins and sandpipers can all be regularly seen feeding along the River Till. Red squirrels visit the woodlands where roe deer and woodcock shelter . High above the farm, buzzards can be seen searching the fields below for prey such as young rabbits.

Through the day kestrels hover over field margins in their seemingly never ending search for food, while the resident barn and tawny owls hunt silently once the sun goes down.
